Merrill Police Department reports

March 2
At 1:47 p.m., an officer responded to a vandalism complaint. The caller had observed graffiti spray painted on a building. There are no suspects at this time.

At 11:00 p.m., officers were dispatched to a disorderly conduct complaint. The caller advised a male party at a local tavern was trying to start fights with other patrons, had pushed the bartender and struck another male. The intoxicated male was located in the lobby of a building across the street. He was belligerent and began resisting officers. The electronic control device was deployed and the male was taken into custody. The male was charged with 4 counts of bail jumping, two counts of disorderly conduct, battery, and resisting arrest.

March 3
At 3:09 p.m., an officer responded to a gas skip complaint. The driver came in and bought other items but did not pay for the fuel. The investigation is ongoing.

At 4:23 p.m., officers responded to the office of Probation and Parole to take a male party into custody for a probation violation. The male was taken into custody and was transported to the jail.

March 6
At 2:21 p.m., a male was arrested for a probation violation after he was found to be extremely intoxicated in violation of his probation rules.

March 7
At 1:42 a.m., a caller reported their dog woke them up barking and they discovered a male they did not know in their porch. The man was found to be the neighbor and was intoxicated. Officers assisted him to his own residence and he was turned over to his mother.
