The Friends of Council Grounds State Park recently announced that the Park will be holding a candelight snowshoe and hike event on Saturday, February 29, from 5:30 to 8:00 p.m. The event will be held on the Park’s new Northwest Trail. A warming fire and light refreshments will be available in the group camp. Flashlights are recommended. Limited parking will be available at the Park, contact station and in the group camp. State park vehicle stickers are required. This event is sponsored by the Council Grounds State Park with support from the Friends of Council Grounds.
