T.B. Scott Library to present: “Grow Your Own Herbs” workshop

Herbs and spices have been used to improve and maintain health by people around the world for thousands of years. Adding some spice to your life enhances not just your food, but also your overall well-being.
When thinking of a great meal, our imaginations run wild with flavors, textures, and aromas. Rarely do we associate an incredible meal with what the specific ingredients can do for our health and well-being. Everything we eat, for better or for worse, has an impact on our bodies. Bottom line, we can control our levels of health by enjoying nutritious foods.
Adding some spice to your life can be a great adventure. Join the library staff for a hands-on workshop with Debbie Moellendorf and Dan Marzu to learn more about the health benefits of common herbs and spices and how to use them to make delicious meals. Debbie and Dan will also share their knowledge of growing herbs with a Q&A. Participants will then finish out the evening planting their own pot of herbs.
