Ada D. Doering, 93, of Merrill, passed away Saturday, February 15, 2020 at Pine Crest Nursing Home, Merrill. Ada was born October 12, 1926, in the Town of Hamburg, Marathon County, daughter of the late Gustav and Anna (Zastrow) Paul. She married Reid Doering in 1974 and he preceded her in death in 1997. Ada worked alongside her children on their dairy farm. She had also worked at a local ginseng farm and worked part-time at various other local establishments. Ada was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Town of Berlin. She enjoyed crafting, gardening, and cooking and baking.
Survivors include her son, Brian (Wendy) Schulz of Lynn Haven, Florida; grandchildren, Jessica (Daniel) Forchini of Switzerland, Holly (Paul) Maron of Merrill, Heidi (Rudy) Jonas of Medford, Paco Schulz of Lynn Haven, Florida and Brandi Glassgow of Lake Charles, Louisiana; great grandchildren, Laura, Sara, Brittney, Crystal and Colton; and nieces and nephews. Ada was preceded in death by her husband, Reid Doering; former husband, Lylas Schulz; parents, Gustav and Anna Paul; and children, Sandy Schmidt, Robert Schulz, baby Tim Schulz and baby Girl Schulz.
The funeral service for Ada will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, February 27, 2020 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Town of Berlin, Marathon County. Rev. Andrew DeGier will officiate. Burial will take place in the church cemetery. Visitation will begin at 9:00 A.M. Thursday at church. Taylor-Stine Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Merrill, is assisting the family.
