Merrill High School sophomore and two-year varsity wrestler Tristan Brewington had a solid performance against Wausau West on Jan. 28, pinning an opponent he had previously fallen to. During his time on the varsity wrestling squad, Brewington has earned third place in the Wisconsin Valley Conference at 126 pounds, doing so as a freshman.
Brewington is a part of the Merrill soccer team in the spring and also participates in the LEAD program. On his free time Tristan enjoys spending time with his friends and family.
The son of Christy and Kenneth Brewington of Merrill, Tristan currently has a 2.5 GPA. Following graduation in spring of 2022, Brewington plans on attending North Central Technical College where he will study to become a residential electrician.
