Kate Goodrich Elementary fourth grader Alexis Lonsdorf has been named Student of the Week, for the week of Feb. 3.
Daughter of Sarah and Matthew Lonsdorf of Merrill, Alexis was nominated by teacher Mrs. Beyer.
“Alexis is a very hard worker, she wants to excel in everything she does,” Beyer explains.
“Alexis asks to be challenged above the everyday instruction. She is a role model to her peers, and an excellent example of what it is to be kind, respectful, and responsible.”
According to Alexis, her favorite subject in school is math as she likes to add and work with numbers. She feels that it is something she will use in her future.
Her favorite part of school is being with friends and playing outside because she loves to laugh and have fun.
Someday, Alexis would like to be a singer or an artist. She enjoys how singing and art makes her feel inside. She expressed that when she sings or does art, it makes her happy.
