It is based on the book about the incredible true story of the US Coast Guard’s daring rescue attempt, in Feb. 1952, of a crippled oil tanker’s crew during a nor’easter. This movie puts you on the edge of your seat as you witness the crews of both the tanker and the lifeboat battle the raging sea and the near impossible odds. Chris Pine stars as Bernie Webber.
