As of November 1, Overboard Bar and Grill has a spacious new home at the former Gail’s Place location (N4090 CTH K.)
Owned and operated by Greg and Michelle Polacek of Merrill, Overboard Bar and Grill was previously located at N2901 STH 107.
As Greg explains, the opportunity to move into a more spacious building presented itself in a similar manner to how the couple came to establish the bar in July of 2018.
“I had previously owned and operated a food bus and Michelle had been a bartender at another establishment for several years. We decided to look at opening our own place and around that same time we found out the previous owners of Bev and Tom’s were looking to get out of the bar business. We did pretty well out there, but as time went on we started looking at moving into a bigger place. Then last year we learned Gail Haig (owner of Gail’s Place) was looking to sell. The timing and location was right for us so we decided to make the move,” he adds.
Now having over twice the amount of space (approx. 4,800 square feet) compared to their previous location (approx. 1,500 square feet), the couple still offer the same full menu and daily specials as they always have, but will now host events at their banquet hall, such as weddings, baby showers and live music performances.
Overboard Bar and Grill will also continue to hold the same hours of 11 a.m.-close every day, but Tuesdays.
For more information on events and daily specials, Greg and Michelle can be reached at Overboard Bar and Grill at (715) 536-3434.
