2019 Red Kettle Campaign tabbed a success

Each year, the Merrill Salvation Army holds the annual Red Kettle Campaign.
In November and December, community volunteers give their time to stand outside County Market and Walmart to accept donations. Thanks to the efforts of our volunteers and the generous support of the Merrill community, total donations from the 2019 fundraising campaign ended at $31,242.41.
These funds are used to provide emergency assistance to Merrill area residents, including rent, utilities, and assist with transportation issues. We are not providing long-term help; we are providing emergency assistance to individuals, families and the elderly who are in crisis situations. For every dollar collected, $0.86 stays right here in Merrill. The remaining $0.14 is used in state and national relief efforts.
All services are provided without paid staff or facility costs. Your donations go directly to helping Merrill residents.
The Merrill Salvation Army would like to thank all the volunteers that helped during the 2019 bell ringing campaign!
An additional thank you to all local businesses for donations though local grant, donation buttons & counter top kettles for this year’s campaign!
