MAPS to Hold Community Information & Listening Session Regarding the Potential Consolidation of Maple Grove School
According to a press release from Merrill Area Pulic Schools, on Tuesday, Jan. 7, 2020, the administration and Board of Education of the Merrill Area Public Schools will hold an information and listening session at the Merrill High School Auditorium, regarding the potential consolidation of Maple Grove School. The meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m. with a brief presentation by administration followed by a listening session in which community members may address the board and administration. The meeting will end at approximately 8:30 p.m.
The purpose of the information and listening session is to provide information relevant to a potential consolidation and to listen to the concerns of the community.
Dr. John Sample, MAPS Superintendent, emphasized that “This is an excellent opportunity for community members to obtain information relevant to any future decision to consolidate Maple Grove School and to express their concerns and ideas to the Board. The Merrill community is invited, as any decision has implications for all District residents.”
