Marguerite Stevens, age 96, passed away Monday, December 30, 2019 at Pine Crest Nursing Home, Merrill. She was born April 2, 1923 in Oconomowoc to the late Rudolph & Leila (Rhadans) Lange. Marguerite worked many years as a secretary for General Telephone. She was a member of the Women’s Church Group at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church. Marguerite had a passion for sewing, especially making children’s clothes. She will be dearly missed.
Survivors include her daughter: Carol (Steve) Christensen; son: Ken Maule; grandchildren: Erin (Keith) Perkins, Stephen Christiansen, Ken (Mona) Reitz, Carson (Steph) Maule, Geneva Maule and Katie Maule; great-grandchildren: Dalton, Corrine and Renee Perkins, Ana, Josh and Joey Reitz; Sister: Carol Schultz, brother: Johnny (Maureen) Lange; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, her first husband Don Maule, second husband Fred Stevens, daughter Donna, son-in-law, Bob Reitz, and sisters, Nancy and Marian.
A memorial service and celebration of life will be scheduled in the spring to accommodate those traveling from the south. The family would like to say a special thank you to the staff at Pine Crest Nursing Home, and specifically the Special Care Unit for their kind and excellent care of Marguerite, for the past 2 ½ years.
