On Thursday, November 7, Ministers of all denominations gathered together to be “locked up” for a cause. The Minister Lock Up was held to raise funds for MAC Home, Merrill’s Community Homeless Center. Organizers initially set a goal of raising $5,000 through this event, that goal was surpassed and the total amount raised was $7,519.
MAC Home would like to thank the following churches for their participation: Highland Community Church, Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church, Trinity Lutheran Church, St. Stephen’s United Church of Christ, St. John’s Lutheran Church, Christ United Methodist Church, Journey Church, Bell Tower, and First Presbyterian Church. Thanks to the following for donating the project: Merrill Enrichment Center, Merrill Area United Way, and Crime Stoppers.
