For the third consecutive year, Kindhearted Home Care (KHC) of Merrill is facilitating a 12-week community weight loss challenge, “The Solution to Your Resolution,” to help Merrill get off to a positive start in 2020.
The weight-loss challenge will run from Jan. 6 through March 27, 2020. Teams of four to six people are invited to sign up by Thursday, Jan. 2 to get in on the challenge.
KHC is hoping to capitalize on last year’s success; resulting in 13 teams and 66 people, losing a combined 466 pounds.
Teams will weigh in weekly and report their totals to Kindhearted Home Care. Winners will be determined based on a percentage of team weight loss.
Teams are encouraged to come up with clever names. Weekly results will be posted by team name on the Kindhearted Facebook page.
The competition will feature specific weekly challenges and presentations, offered over the 12-week period.
“We feel this is a fun way for the community to kick-off the new year!” said Kindhearted Home Care owner Diane Goetsch.
“Working with others on a team, helps motivate people to stick to their weight loss goals,” Goetsch adds.
