Third Annual Empty Bowls Dinner tabbed a success

Empty Bowls, through Merrill Noon Optimists, is celebrating another successful fundraising dinner.
Over the past three years, the group has raised over $16,000 for Food For Kids. This year’s donation will once again be over $5,600.
“Our community never disappoints when asked for help. So many businesses and individuals give freely to help others. It’s wonderful to be a part of that,” said Jeni Hinz, Empty Bowls chair. “We have an amazing group of volunteers on our committee and also helping with the dinner. Countless hours are put into this project each year from organizational meetings, painting bowls and mugs at Studio 808 and fundraising events at local restaurants such as Los Mezcales, Culver’s and The Grandstand.”
