Emil especially loved his grandchildren and spending quality time with them. He was a member of VFW Post #1638 in Merrill as well as Trinity Lutheran Church in Merrill.

Survivors include his daughter: Julie (Bruce) Weber, Merrill; son Anthony “Tony” Rosenau, Merrill; son-in-law: Jon Zwicky, Iron River, WI; grandchildren: Christopher Weber, Greeley, CO, Kaylyn Weber, Merrill, Joshua (Rachel) Zwicky, Iron River, WI, Travis (Errika) Zwicky, Clara City, MN, and Cameron Zwicky, Shawano; great-grandchildren: Faelan Weber, Brantley Weber-King, Evan Zwicky, Oliver Zwicky, Vallerie Zwicky and Sullivan Zwicky. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Carol, daughter, Patience Zwicky, sister, Ethel Rock and brother, Edward.
