MHS to present: “Disorder in the Court!”

Merrill High School will present the Fall Play “Disorder in the Court” beginning on Thursday, November 7. Additional performances are scheduled for Friday, November 8 and Saturday, November 9 at the MHS Auditorium.
Showtimes begin at 7 p.m. each evening.
“Disorder in the Court” is a newly published play written by Breanna Dehn.
A highly entertaining comedy, the play is about a goofy and irrational court room in the town of “Berserkville.” Casey Licit, an outsider, drives through Berserkville and suddenly finds herself being charged in a triple murder. It soon becomes clear that Casey is the only sane person involved in this trial and that the court officials and witnesses, are all part of this strange community with no understanding of truth, justice, or reality.
Quite simply, there is “Disorder in the Court” when judges are bribed with candy, and attorneys and witnesses dance the Macarena!
Thirteen Merrill High School students and an adorable chihuahua, make up the cast of this funny and irrational courtroom comedy that is full of laughs, absurdity and senselessness. This comedy is guaranteed to entertain.
“One of the really great things about this play is that it was just recently published,” explains director Tim Moe.
“So the students have had to develop their characters without being able to watch examples on Youtube or social media. We are fortunate to have a group of very talented students who have worked hard to make this play a creative and enjoyable production.”
