Citizens for Decency celebrates ‘the family’

For 30 years Citzens for Decency Lincoln County (CDLC) have recognized the violent and often horrific effects of pornography on families and communities.
This year, in conjunction with National Anti-Pornography Week, we will once again distribute white ribbons upon request, throughout the county. An unsettling environment has unfolded before us, leaving some families in our communities torn apart by alcohol, drugs, pornography and other indecencies. In an effort to support and celebrate the importance of families, we are offering an opportunity to relax, enjoy and focus on a fresh approach to these difficult and troubling times.
CDCL invites all families. including single(s), single moms and single dads to Highland Community Church (formerly Merrill Bible Church 508 Eugene St.) on Saturday Oct. 26.
This event will start with a free on-site family photo session from 5-6:30 . A buffet supper will follow at 6:30 p.m. Reservations are required for both events. Dinner registration opens at 6 p.m.
Ed Livingston will be the master of ceremonies and guest speaker Pr. Charles Scheele of Berean Baptist Church in Tomahawk will speak on the topic of family. Kesh Pillai, Youth Director of Bible Presbyterian Church will also be a guest speaker, discussing youth. Bob Likes of Wausau will also be hosting a martial arts demonstration.. Reservations are due by Oct. 16.
For more information, call (715) 536-4126 or mail CDLC Box 66, Merrill, WI 54452.
