Junior Bluejay football fullback Eddie Collinsworth grinded out a workhorse effort on both sides of the ball in the Friday, Sept. 20 loss to La Crosse Central. He not only bulled his way through 97 yards on the ground on just 17 carries, but also spearheaded the Merrill defensive effort with a six tackle night from his middle linebacker position. Although football is his only sport, Collinsworth stays active with extracurricular activities as a member of Link Crew and the Lead program. Outside of school Collinsworth is an avid outdoorsman, spending his time fishing and hunting.
Son of Amy and Chad Collinsworth of Merrill, Eddie maintains a flawless 4.0 GPA. Following graduation in 2022, he plans to join his older brother Jake at UW-Madison, however if that doesn’t work out he plans to attend a different four-year university.
