“Are You VoteReady?” Find Answers to your Voter Registration Questions

The League of Women Voters of the Northwoods (LWVNOW) is excited to once again be part of a national effort to strengthen our community by registering voters on September 24, 2019, also known as National Voter Registration Day. As a nonpartisan unofficial national holiday, National Voter Registration Day is designed to create an annual moment when the entire nation focuses on registering Americans to exercise their most basic right – the right to vote.
Remember, if you have moved since the last election, you will need to re-register. You can check your registration status and/or register online at www.Vote411.org.
If you would like assistance you can find LWVNOW volunteers at the following locations this week:
Rhinelander District Library, September 24 @ 1:00 – 3:00 pm
Minocqua Public Library, September 24 @ 4:30 – 6:30 pm
Grow North EcoVillage, Rhinelander, September 27 @ Noon – 5 pm
Grow North EcoVillage, Rhinelander, September 28 @ 10 am – 5 pm
LWVNOW has placed instructional flipbooks in public libraries in Antigo, Boulder Junction, Crandon, Eagle River, Merrill, Minocqua, Rhinelander, Three Lakes, and Tomahawk to assist you to self-register online using Wisconsin’s voting site, https://myvote.wi.gov. Ask for the tools if not readily available.
The LWVNOW encompasses Florence, Forest, Langlade, Lincoln, Oneida, and Vilas counties. Our local league belongs to the state and national League of Women Voters, a non-partisan organization devoted to helping members and fellow citizens develop educated political opinions and act upon them through the democratic process. Our monthly meetings and sponsored events are open to all. You can contact us at [email protected]. Our website is www.lwvnow.org.
