MAPS to host guest speaker Tim Kight
MERRILL, Wis. — Merrill Area Public Schools is pleased to announce the upcoming visit and presentation of Tim Kight. On August 28, 2019, Tim will speak to the staff of Merrill Area Public Schools and Tomahawk School District in a welcome back celebration.
Tim focuses on the critical factors that distinguish great organizations from average organizations and delivers a powerful message on the mindset and skills at the heart of individual and organizational performance. Most recently, Tim has worked closely with Urban Meyer and the Ohio State football team as the Buckeyes’ leadership coach. His work with Ohio State has been featured in the Wall Street Journal, Sports Illustrated and ESPN (source www.focus3.com).
“I am excited to have the opportunity to collaborate with the Tomahawk School District to make this event possible,” states Dr. John Sample, Superintendent for Merrill Area Public Schools. “Tim provides the tools necessary to sustain a positive culture and climate; how we respond will measure our success as respective organizations.”
The event will take place in the Merrill High School Auditorium from 7:30 a.m. -12:00 p.m. Breakfast will begin at 7:30 followed by a brief welcome back. Tim Kight will begin at 9:00, addressing the MAPS and Tomahawk School District staff, as well as local leaders in the community.
