Betty Hehling, 65, of Merrill, passed away on Monday, July 29, 2019 at Pine Crest Nursing Home, Merrill. Betty was born November 27, 1953, in Merrill, daughter of the late John Jr. and Darlene (Weinkauf) Hehling.  She graduated from Merrill High School with the class of 1973.  In her earlier years, Betty worked as a dietary aid at Pine Crest Nursing Home.  Betty was a paper carrier for the Foto News, a job that she held until recently.  Betty also worked as a supervisor for a lawn mowing crew at Lincoln Industries.  Betty was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Merrill, where she was involved with the ladies aid and the choir.  She enjoyed bowling, and participated in the Special Olympics.  She was a member of the Self Advocates.  Betty loved chatting with people and joking around, but most of all, she enjoyed babysitting.

Survivors include her brothers, Robert Hehling and Bill Hehling; nephew and nieces, Mathew Heisler, Mindy (Brad) Litzen and Katie Heisler; great-nieces and great-nephew, Emily Elizabeth, Alexis Marie and Zander James Lee; former sister-in-law, Lisa Hehling; aunt, Almira Larson; uncle, Earl Larson; and goddaughter, Stephanie Beyer.  Betty was preceded in death by her parents; and her uncle, Ewald (Margaret) Weinkauf.

A memorial service for Betty will be held at 11:00 A.M., Thursday, August 8, 2019 at the Taylor-Stine Funeral Home, Merrill.  Rev. Adam Rodriguez and Lay Minister Bob Schneider will officiate.  The family will receive friends on Thursday beginning at 9:00 A.M. The family would like to thank the staff at Pine Crest Nursing Home and Ministry Hospice for their care and compassion.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Trinity Lutheran Church Choir. Online condolences may be made at www.taylorstinefuneralhome.com
