On Wednesday, August 7, the Merrill City Band will wrap up the 2019 concert season with a performance at 6 p.m.. at the Cenotaph Park (Park Place) on the west side.
Geoff Landon will provide pre-concert entertainment beginning at 4:00. Concessions including, burgers, hot dogs, soda, water, strawberry shortcake, and more are being offered by the Band Boosters and HAVEN is on hand with their tasty popcorn and lemonade.
A variety of concert selections are on the program, with something for everyone, including marches, a polka or two, some swing tunes, a little rock music, something patriotic, “Somewhere” from West Side Story, and more. As always, there will be something special for the the kids and a kiddie parade, after which all little marchers will receive a bag of treats and a coupon for free ice cream at Cup N Cone, Culver’s, or Dairy Queen. The ever-popular 50/50 raffle will be in full swing so bring a lawn chair and join in the fun!
