The Campaign to Conduct fundraiser for Normal Park wrapped up at the end of last week. Three local candidates were in the running to direct a piece with the Merrill City Band. Voting displays were in various businesses around town. The City Band is proud to announce the winner of the 2nd Campaign to Conduct Contest, Fire Chief Josh Klug. Josh will be conducting a piece with the Merrill City Band Wednesday night, during the 7 p.m. concert at Normal Park.
The band will also be at Normal Park next Wednesday at 7 p.m. and at the Cenotaph Park (Park Place) on August 7th at 6 p.m. for their 2019 concert season finale. Geoff Landon will provide pre-concert music beginning at 4 p.m. on August 7. Burgers, hot dogs, strawberry shortcake and more will be available from the Band Boosters and HAVEN will be on hand with their famous popcorn and lemonade. Bring a lawn chair and join us!
