Greg P. Hardrath

Greg P. Hardrath, 62, of the Town of Scott, Lincoln County, passed away Friday, July 19, 2019 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. Greg was born November 17, 1956 in Two Rivers, Wisconsin, son of Lois (Clark) Hardrath and the late Hugo Hardrath.  Greg married Lori O’Neil on June 8, 1979 in Stockbridge, Wisconsin.  She survives. At a young age, Gregbegan his career as an auto mechanic working alongside his dad at his garage.  When he moved to Merrill, Greg worked at Stark Automotive, Breaman Merrill Ford and Willie’s Tire Center.  He enjoyed helping people with their vehicles and always helped anyone who had an automotive emergency.  Greg also enjoyed fishing, deer hunting, duck hunting, gardening and taking care of his lawn.

Survivors include his wife, Lori Hardrath of the Town of Scott; mother, Lois (Pete) Hau of Stockbridge; mother-in-law, Grace (Ralph) Bernhardt of Manitowoc; daughters, Michelle Szozda (Don Gresham) of Seattle, Washington and Nicole Hardrath of Merrill; sons, Shane Hardrath of the Town of Scott and Corey Hardrath of Merrill; nine grandchildren; sisters, Bonnie (Roger) Olson of Eagle River and Lori (Ted) Czeskleba of Stockbridge; brothers, Terry (Sue) Hardrath of Kellnersville, Rick (Kay) Hardrath of Hilbert, Gary Hardrath of New London, Michael Hardrath of St. Nazianz and Brian (Marj) Hardrath of Chilton; brother-in-law, John Busse of Stockbridge; numerous sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews; and his very close friends, the Landwehr family.  Greg was preceded in death by his father, Hugo Hardrath; sister, Gail Busse; and nephew, Joe Schmitting

The funeral service for Greg will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, July 27, 2019 at the Taylor-Stine Funeral Home, Merrill.  Pastor Randy Schussman will officiate.  Visitation will begin at 9:00 A.M. Saturday at the funeral home.  Online condolences may be made at www.taylorstinefuneralhome.com.
