Milwaukee Zoo offering free admission to veterans, family members
On Sunday, June 30, the Milwaukee County Zoo will be offering free admission and parking to veterans and family members statewide, as part of the park’s Military and Veterans Family Day. Free admission tickets will be available through Friday, June 28 for all active military and veterans residing in Wisconsin. Tickets can be picked up locally by contacting the Lincoln County Veterans Service Office at 801 N. Sales Street, Merrill. Or the office can be contacted at (715) 539-1083 during regular business hours of 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday. Outside of Lincoln County, tickets can be picked at the respective county’s Veterans Service Office.
Tickets are required for entry and will be available for immediate family only, with a limit of 10 tickets per family. Also on that Sunday, will be the Veterans Benefit Expo at the U.S Bank Gathering Place from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. This event will be a one-stop shop where veterans can learn about getting the benefits they deserve. The Milwaukee Zoo will be open from 9 a.m.-5 p.m.
