The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office continue to investigate the cause of a structure fire which required the response of several agencies on Saturday afternoon.
On Saturday, May 25 at 3:08 p.m. the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office E-911 Communications Center received reports of a structure fire at N2812 Hinz Rd. in the Town of Merrill. Initial response included the Merrill Fire Department and deputies from the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office.
In addition, the Merrill Fire Department requested mutual aid from the Town of Russell, Town of Pine River and Town of Corning Fire Departments, along with Tomahawk EMS.
The fire was primarily contained to the garage and one tenant on the property sustained burns to the face while trying to put the fire out. The patient denied medical attention.
The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office is being assisted by the Wisconsin State Fire Marshall in investigating the cause of the fire.
