Struggles continue for Lady Jays

After a four run first inning, the bats would go cold for Merrill as they fall to Wausau West in a conference match up, on Monday night.
With two runners on base in the first inning, Michelle Lahr singled to the outfield, allowing both runners to score for Merrill. Lahr later crossed the plate on a single from Nicole Zoellner. A Kamille Ament single drove in the final run of the inning for the Jays, giving Merrill the 4-0 lead.
Wausau West then took control of the game, scoring three runs in the third inning, two more runs in the fourth and another two runs in the sixth.
The game would end with a final score of 7-4 with the Warriors being the winning team.
Leading hitters for the Jays include: Michelle Lahr (2H, 2RBI, R), Nicole Zoellner (H, RBI) and Kamille Ament (H, RBI).
