McCoy Construction and Forestry held their open house to celebrate one year of new ownership on Friday afternoon, May 10.
The business previously known as Nortrax, built their Merrill location in March of 2017, combining their Mosinee and Monico locations into the new Merrill building. The McCoy family then purchased seven locations from Nortrax on May 11 of last year,
“Combining those locations into Merrill really allowed us to keep our employees and take care of our customers,” explains former Nortrax General Manager and current McCoy employee Matt Hanson.
“There isn’t much of a difference in how things are run,” Hanson added, “The major difference is that Nortrax was a John Deere owned company and McCoy is a private John Deere dealership. Other than that it is business as usual.”
The Merrill facility specializes in offering construction and forestry equipment, commercial worksite products and production class equipment manufactured by Deere & Company. From large haul trucks and excavators, which are often used in quarry and mining operations, to smaller commercial class machinery, such as skid steers and compact loaders; the Merrill facility can serve any need in their area of expertise. In addition, the facility offers full service parts and labor on all equipment sold.
