HAVEN’s ‘Men in the Kitchen’ event set for Thursday

“Men In The Kitchen” is being hosted by HAVEN (Household Abuse Victims Emergency Network) on Thursday, April 25 at St. Stephen’s United Church of Christ in Merrill, and there are just a few places left at the tables.
The evening will begin at 5 p.m. with a social hour, and dinner will follow at 6 p.m.
This year will feature the culinary skills of five volunteers who have each created a complete menu of several courses. These “Men In The Kitchen” are donating their ingredients and then preparing their meals for tables of eight diners. HAVEN is grateful to chefs; John Sample,  Pete McConnell, Jeremy Ratliff, Derek Woellner and Eric Ott for their generosity in support of this fundraiser.
The evening will also include drawings and a live auction for items such as wine baskets, a handmade bird feeder, a crocheted afghan, a painting, gift certificates from local businesses, and much more. HAVEN appreciates the many donations from area individuals and businesses for the drawings and auction.
Tickets for “Men In The Kitchen” are $35 each and must be reserved in advance. Call HAVEN at 715-536- 1300 for more information and to purchase a ticket as there are only a few openings left.
All proceeds from this event will support the work of HAVEN in serving adults and children who experience domestic violence, sexual assault, elder abuse, child abuse, harassment, stalking and human trafficking.
