The Holy Cross Clare Center will host a panel discussion and presentation by the Churches for Middle East Peace (CMEP) as part of CMEP’s national tour, on Wednesday April 3 from 6:30-8:30 p.m.

CMEP staff; Sara Burback-Director of Outreach and Alison Glick-Director of Development and Mobilization, will host a conversation with Obada Shtayeh from One Voice Movement, and Suzann Mollner of Beirut and Beyond, about peace-building and advocacy related to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. During the panel presentations, they will discuss realities affecting the Palestinian refugee community and the importance of advocating for human rights in Israel, the Palestinian territories, and with refugees throughout the Middle East. The occupation of the Palestinian territories impacts people living on all sides of the conflict, including both Israelis and Palestinians.

The Holy Cross Clare Center is located at 1600 O’Day St (adjacent to Bell Tower Residence). This program is sponsored by the Merrill Peace Studies Group and the Religious Society of Friends (Quakers). For more information contact Judy Weaver, 715-536-7918 or visit http://www.cmep.org.
