The Merrill High School rendition of the musical Mamma Mia will be coming to the MHS auditorium in early April.
Sang through the music of ABBA, the MHS musical cast will tell the story of a girl from a small Greek island named Sophie. Sophie dreams of a perfect wedding, one that includes her father giving her away. The problem is, Sophie does not know who her father is. After sneaking a peak at her mother’s old diaries, Sophie narrows it down to three men and secretly invites them all to her wedding, convinced she’ll know her father when she sees him. But, when all three turn up, it may not be as clear as she thought. Mamma Mia is set to debut on Thursday, April 4 at 7 p.m. with two more 7 p.m. showings on Friday, April 5, Saturday, April 6 and a matinee on Sunday, April 7 at 1 p.m. Tickets for the musical can be purchased at Daves’s County Market, Lee’s Piggly Wiggly and the MHS cashier office for $8 for students and senior citizens and $10 for adults.
