Search warrant leads to felony drug charges for Merrill woman

Amber A. Meyer-25 of Merrill, was charged January 16 with Felony charges of Possession of Methamphetamine, Maintaining a Drug Trafficking Place, Harboring/Aiding a Felon and
Misdemeanor charges of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Possession of THC.
According to court records, on the evening of January 1, 2019 officers of the Merrill Police Department and deputies from the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at a residence located at 1800 West Main Street in the City of Merrill. Upon executing the warrant, Meyer and another party were located inside the residence. The other party was found to have outstanding warrants for his arrest-one being a felony warrant- and was also found to be currently on probation. Upon a search of the residence, a green leafy substance was located which later field tested positive for marijuana. A white, rocky substance was also discovered, which later tested positive for methamphetamine. Other items found as a result of the search warrant include  a pipe commonly used to smoke marijuana, a pipe commonly used to smoke methamphetamine, in addition to numerous other pipes and bags.
Meyer reportedly admitted to ownership of the marijuana but denied knowledge or ownership of the methamphetamine. Meyer reportedly admitted to other people frequenting the residence to
smoke marijuana and also admitted to knowledge of the male party she was in the company of, having outstanding warrants for his arrest and being on probation. Meyer also reportedly admitted to providing the male party with food, as well as residing with the male at the 1800 West Main Street residence, for approximately one week.
Meyer was released from custody January 3 on $1,500 signature bond.
