A 39-year-old Merrill man was arrested Tuesday afternoon after deputies investigated a disturbance in the Town of Merrill. Deputies arrested the man on a charge of battery for an incident they learned took place on Jan. 10.
A 37-year-old Merrill man was arrested Saturday morning on a criminal traffic charge. A deputy came across a vehicle stopped at the intersection of County Rd. K and County Rd. G. The vehicle remained stopped at the lights despite the fact the light had been green for some time. The deputy made contact with the driver and detected the odor of an intoxicant. The driver was asked to perform field sobriety tests and as a result he was arrested for a third offense of operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated.
