Over the weekend of Jan. 4-6, the Merrill Youth Hockey Squirt A team took first place in the Chippewa Thunder Squirt Tournament in Chippewa Falls.
They were undefeated all weekend beating Chippewa Thunder 7-1 on Friday night. On Saturday they beat Washington County 7-0 and Fox Valley 6-3.
The Squirts continued their winning streak on Sunday, beating the Minnesota Tartans in the Championship game 3-2.
