Merrill Police reports

December 18
7:53 p.m.- An officer responded to a residence with Probation and Parole to take a male party into custody for a probation violation. Contact was made with the male party who was taken into custody and was transported to the jail.
9:27 p.m.- Officers responded to a residence to attempt contact with a male party who had a warrant for his arrest. Contact was made with the male party who was taken into custody and was transported to the Lincoln County jail.

December 19
10:24 a.m.- A male was arrested for a probation violation at the request of the Wisconsin Department of Corrections.
2:32 p.m.- A male was arrested for a probation violation at the request of the Wisconsin Department of Corrections.
6:26 p.m.- A caller reported someone stole a package from her porch left by the post office. Investigation continues.

December 20
11:58 p.m.- Officers were called to a business parking lot after a caller reported a female pounding on his semi and yelling at a male to call the police. Officers located the involved male on foot in the area. He reported he had not been with a female and had no idea what officers were talking about. The involved female was found hiding behind a car. The male was arrested for obstructing an officer after lying to officers. It was further found he is on probation and is not to have contact with the female per his probation rules. The male showed officers a fat lip he claimed to have gotten after the female struck him. She was arrested for domestic battery.

Officers investigated four crashes at various locations throughout the day.

December 21
5:50 p.m.- A male and female arrived at the Merrill Police Department to report a disorderly conduct complaint in the 1300 block of West Main Street. Officers were advised the couple was chased out of the area by other males in the area. An ongoing investigation is occurring.
At approximately 6 p.m.- An officer was having contact with a male at the Merrill Police Department. The officer was advised by dispatch the male had an active warrant for his arrest through probation and parole. The male was taken into custody and transported to the Lincoln County Jail for the warrant.
10:12 p.m.- Officers were in the 1300 block of West Main Street investigating an incident that occurred earlier in the day. Throughout the investigation officers were advised a female they were having contact with had an active warrant for her arrest. The female was taken into custody and transported to the Lincoln County Jail for the warrant.

December 22
11:37 a.m.- Officers were called to one of the area hotels for found drug paraphernalia. Staff had located a small bong and crack pipe in a Christmas box. The items were not able to be connected to a previous resident and were taken as evidence.
7:39 p.m.- Officers were called to the 1600 block of East 1st Street for suspicious activity at a residence. The report was of people coming and going from the unoccupied residence at odd hours of the night. Officers were able to make contact with the owners of the residence and confirm that the late night activity was sanctioned activities by the home owner.
