Merrill Sheet Metal Works, a Merrill-based heating and cooling contractor, and Bryant Heating & Cooling Systems teamed up to honor a local “Community Hero” who does “whatever it takes” to make a positive impact in their community. This hero demonstrates how a person with passion and determination can use their time and energy to make a difference in the lives of others.
Diana Wendt from Merrill has been named the 2018 Bryant Community Hero winner from our area. To show their appreciation, Diana received a new Bryant high efficiency gas furnace for her home, which was installed by Merrill Sheet Metal Works earlier this month.
Diana was nominated by Sue Kampmann of Merrill. In her nomination, Sue said, “Though a very recent widow herself, Diana very quietly helps anyone who needs it. From cooking a meal for families of people in the hospital to sewing quilts for charity, Diana can always be counted on to lend a hand. She and her group of quilters create blankets for people in need. She also volunteers with her church helping with funeral meals and singing in the choir. She is happy to be an ear for anyone struggling to deal with problems and will help find solutions whenever she can.”
