Merrill Police reports

December 11
6:56 a.m.- Officers were dispatched to damage to vehicle complaint in the 300 block of Logan Street. A vehicle had both passenger side tires slashed. An ongoing investigation is occurring to locate a suspect.
7:43 a.m.- An officer was dispatched to a theft from a vehicle complaint in the 200 block of State Street. A wallet was taken from inside the vehicle. An ongoing investigation is occurring to locate a suspect.
9:45 a.m.- An officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle after identifying one of the occupants and finding out the occupant had a warrant out for their arrest. The individual was taken into custody and transported to the Lincoln County Jail for the warrant.
11:36 a.m.- Officers were dispatched to probation and parole office to take an individual into custody for a probation violation. The male was taken into custody for the probation violation and transported to the Lincoln County jail.
2:28 p.m.- An officer was dispatched to the 700 block of North Center Avenue in reference of a hit and run. A male party struck an Ice machine while driving with his vehicle causing damage to the ice machine. The male then left the incident location. An ongoing investigation is occurring.
3:07 p.m.- Officers were dispatched to probation and parole office to take an individual into custody for a probation violation. The male was taken into custody for the probation violation and transported to the Lincoln County jail.

December 12
11:59 a.m.- An officer responded to a crash where a vehicle struck a diesel pump. The driver admitted to driving too fast in the parking lot because he was in a hurry. Crash report was completed.
2:39 p.m.- Dispatch received a complaint of a gas skip. The registered owner of the vehicle was contacted and they returned to pay for the fuel.
3:51 p.m.- Officers responded to a wanted person complaint. Dispatch advised there was a male party at a residence that had two active warrants for his arrest. Contact was made at the residence and the male party was located hiding in a bathroom. He was taken into custody for the warrants.
6:17 p.m.- An officer responded to a property damage complaint. The caller advised two of her house windows were broken from rocks the neighbor kid was throwing. Contact was made with the neighbor, who denied the accusations. Investigation is ongoing.

December 13
10:03 a.m.- Officers responded to the office of Probation and Parole to take a female into custody for a probation violation. The female was transported to the jail.
11:18 a.m.- An officer responded to a theft complaint. The caller advised items have gone missing from his residence and he had a suspect in mind. In checking local outlets, he located numerous items of his that were stolen and that he was able to prove were his. Investigation is ongoing.
8:18 p.m.- An officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle. A K9 was deployed and made a positive alert. A search of the vehicle revealed items of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. The female driver was taken into custody for possession of methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia and possession of an illegally obtained prescription.
8:45 p.m.- While officers were assisting with a traffic stop, a male party in the area began yelling profanities towards officers. There were numerous people standing outside in the area. The male was told numerous times to stop cursing and he continued. The male was arrested for disorderly conduct.
