Merrill Area Public Schools present Holiday Band-a-Palooza!
On Monday, Dec. 10, at 7 p.m., the Sixth Grade, Seventh Grade, and Eighth Grade Bands from Prairie River Middle School, as well as the Symphonic Band and Wind Ensemble from Merrill High School will present their first concert of the year at Prairie River Middle School, titled Band-a-Palooza! The directors, Mr. Chula, Mrs. Curry and Mrs. Wilk hope that selections such as “Jingle Bones,” “African Holy Night” and “Holiday Sampler” will put audience members in the holiday spirit. This concert has everything, including the crowd favorite “76 Trombones” from The Music Man. You may even hear a kitchen sink in the tune “Christmas in the Kitchen.” It will all culminate with all five bands playing the “12 Days of Christmas” together. Admission is free. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.
