The winners in the 4th annual Council Grounds State Park photo contest were announced at the candlelight walk held at the Park on Oct. 27. The top two winners in the four categories are as follows:
•People Using the Park: 1st – Sherry Kohout (Merrill); 2nd – Linnea Svennes (Wausau)
•Wildlife: 1st – Matthew Kloth (Merrill): 2nd – Chucky Wensel (Merrill)
•Landscape: 1st – Thomas Dotter (Merrill): 2nd – Chucky Wensel (Merrill)
•Plants: 1st – Debra Berg (Merrill); 2nd – Thomas Dotter (Merrill)
There were double the number of photos entered this year with many great photos. The contest is organized by the Park’s Friends Group and the final winners were determined by public voting. The Friends Group wants to thank all those who entered and voted to help make the contest such a success.
