September 8, the Sawmill Brewing Company’s 2nd Annual Race to the Taps 5K and family walk/run raised $2,350, which was split between 3 deserving, local charities; Food For Kids, Lincoln County Respite Care and the Northwoods Veterans Post. Each of the runners voted for where they would like the money go to and based on the amount of votes, we distributed the proceeds. Northwoods Verterans Post received $1,000, Food For Kids $750, and Lincoln County Respite Care received $600. The 3rd Annual Race to the Taps will be held on September 7th, 2019 at Sawmill Brewing Company.
According to Sawmill manager Zach Kubichek, this year’s event was well attended; drawing over 300 participants.
