Stadler completes path to Eagle Scout

On Aug. 21, Cameron Stadler earned the rank of Eagle Scout.

Cameron joined Cub Scouts at the age of six with Pack 599 at St. John Lutheran Church, Merrill.

In Cub Scouts he enjoyed participating in the Pinewood Derby, Rain Gutter Regattas and Polar Camp. He also learned the importance of helping others by participating in Make-a-Difference day with his Cub Scout pack.

On Feb. 16, 2014, Cameron earned his Arrow of Light, the highest rank in Cub Scouts and joined Boy Scout Troop 599.

On July 29, 2015, Cameron was inducted into the Order of the Arrow; he confirmed his membership in the Order of the Arrow by earning his Brotherhood in July of 2016.

Cameron attended High Adventure trips to the Badlands and Mount Rushmore in South Dakota, The Grand Canyon and the 2017 Boy Scout National Jamboree in Beckley, West Virginia. In August 2018, he participated in the National Order of the Arrow Conference at the University of Indiana.

For his Eagle project, Cameron led a group of volunteers to help build a tricycle track for the students at the Pine River School for Young Learners. The project was completed in July 2018.
Cameron is a sophomore at Merrill High School, where he plays soccer and participates on the High School Trap team.

Cameron is the son of Jason and Nancy Stadler.
