Lincoln County Sheriff’s reports

A 28-year-old Merrill man was arrested Monday afternoon on a warrant charge. The man was appearing in Lincoln County Court when the deputy assigned to court room security discovered the man was wanted by the Oneida County Sheriff for contempt of court.

A 29-year-old Tomahawk woman was arrested Wednesday on a warrant through the Marathon County Sheriff. The woman appeared in Lincoln County Court and a check showed she was wanted for felony bail jumping and a drug charge.

A 19-year-old Merrill man was arrested Thursday afternoon for violating the terms of his probation. The man was located on a dead end road in the Town of Merrill with a female under the age of 18 in violation of his probation rules.

A vehicle caught fire on USH 51 Friday night in the Town of Bradley. EMS personnel in a passing ambulance used a fire extinguisher to put out the flames. Another vehicle fire occurred on Center Road Saturday morning in the Town of Pine River. Saturday afternoon, Tomahawk Firefighters and a deputy responded to a residence in the Town of Bradley for a report of a fire in the wall of a home. When a deputy arrived the fire was out.

Six people reported striking deer this past week. Sunday morning a bear was found after it was struck and killed on County Rd. S south of Tomahawk.
