Riverside Athletic Club is pleased to invite the community to their week long Open House running Wednesday, Sept. 12 through Friday, Sept. 21 at its location at 500 S. Center Ave. in Merrill.
The event is free and is open to everyone in the community.
“We are really excited to be offering this week long event to our community,” says Becci Simon, club manager. “Everyone is welcome to come during our normal business hours and try out the club.
“The best part is that if someone joins our club during this time, we will give them the rest of the year for free. This is our best offer of the year. But they must join between 9/12 and 9/21 3 p.m. to take advantage of this deal.”
Riverside is open from 6 a.m.-8 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 6 a.m.-5 p.m. on Friday. During this week the community is welcome to try out the various group exercise classes that the club offers including Yoga, Zumba, Pilates, Step Aerobics, Strength, Silver Sneakers, Water Aerobics and Arthritis in the water. The club also has a racquetball court, hot tub, sauna, warm water pool and functional training area. “We really want to use this time to educate the community on the importance of physical fitness and invite the public to try some of our wide variety of classes that we have to offer. “says Paul Kienitz, owner of Riverside Athletic Club. “We really have become a multi-use facility that is geared for all ages and fitness levels. We have something that can work for everyone,” adds Kienitz “and we want to offer this free week to show the community what we have available.”
Riverside Athletic Club is partnering with Mary Klug of Financial Solutions and United Health Care to provide Medicare 101 clinics that will be held on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9-11:30 a.m. and Thursday night at 6 p.m. During these clinics Mary will be available to answer any questions regarding the Medicare program as well as various insurance related questions.
Riverside will also be hosting a Potluck event that is FREE to the public on Friday, Sept. 21 at 11:30. They will be having a guest speaker talking about Identity Theft and how to protect yourself.
