Help yourself to better health

Many of us are faced with challenges and obstacles that come with a chronic health issue. Whether we’re living with diabetes, high blood pressure, arthritis, depression, heart disease or fibromyalgia, we experience many symptoms that inhibit our ability to live life the way we want. A community workshop titled, Living Well, provides necessary tools to reorganize and reenergize your health. The program will help you to set goals and…

•Find better ways of dealing with pain and fatigue

•Discover easy exercises to help improve or maintain strength and energy

•Learn the appropriate use of medications

•Improve nutrition

•Talk effectively with family, friends and health professionals

•Understand new treatment choices

•Feel better about life

Living Well is facilitated by trained leaders and will cover new topics each week. The program provides opportunities for interaction and group problem solving and is beneficial for adults of any age.

The Living Well with Chronic Conditions program will be offered in Gleason on Thursdays, Sept. 13-Oct. 18 from 1–3:30 p.m. at the Gleason Lions Club. Cost for the program is a suggested contribution of $10 for entire six-week program.
