The Lincoln County Coroner race appears to be much more decisive as incumbent Paul Proulx has garnered 3,310 votes to challenger Mark Raymer’s 1,741 votes.

Schneider and opponent Borchardt were both challengers in the race, as current Lincoln County Sheriff Jeff Jaeger has announced plans for retirement. Schneider entered the race with 27 years of experience as an employee of the Sheriff’s Office, and current patrol Lieutenant. Borchardt entered the race as a 20-year employee of the Merrill Police Department,  as a patrol officer.

Proulx entered the race as the incumbent with 11 years of experience as Lincoln County Coroner. Raymer entered the race with no experience in the position, but campaigned on  a tenure of military service which he felt was of value to the position Lincoln County Coroner.
