Thursday is Crazy Daze in Merrill!

Go Team Go! Show your team spirit by wearing your favorite team apparel to Crazy Daze on Thursday, Aug. 9 in downtown Merrill. Crazy Daze is a very long tradition in Merrill and all the fun begins at 10 a.m. and runs until 7 p.m. in the downtown area and beyond.

Stop down for great savings at all your downtown favorite stores and beyond. You will find specials all over town at other Merrill businesses on the east and west sides, too. Just look for their signs and tents.

The Merrill Lion’s Club will be hosting their annual Crazy Daze BBQ Chicken at noon from Kitchenette Park and will have their annual Duck Drop in the afternoon. Buy your advanced tickets and ducks through Paul Proulx at 715-536-4260. And in the evening check-out Normal Park at 6 p.m. where the Whitehouse Players will be performing for Gazebo Nights.

Back downtown, there will be the usual craziness happening. Steve Resnick will be overseeing the festivities from his perch on the Sunrise Broadcasting Stage. There will be a Muffin Eating Contest this year at 11:30 a.m. sponsored by First Street Coffee Station, and Dorinda’s Dancers, fresh from their New York City performance on Broadway, will be performing at Noon and 5 p.m. with their special guest star UW-Madison mascot Bucky Badger!

There will also be a Hula-Hoop Contest in the afternoon and the Annual Hamburger Eating Contest with the famous Chip’s Hamburgers at 4:30 p.m.

First Street Coffee Station will be hopping again with their Crazy Hour-by-Hour Specials.

And many of your favorite vendors will be on the street, too.
•Cub Pack 503 will have Pulled Pork and Burger Baskets.
•Ed & Sharon’s will have Prime Rib Sandwiches, Bill’s Famous Lemonade and Better than Fair Cheese Curds.
•St. Paul’s Irma Food Stand will have Steak, Chick Sandwiches, Walking Taco’s, French Fries, Onion Rings, Freezer Pops, Cookies and hot/cold drinks.
•Geiss Meats will have Ribs, Brats, Hot Dogs and Beef Sticks.
•Immanuel Church Little Red Barn will have Ice Cream and Root Beer Floats.
•Mexican Food Stand.
•Northwood’s Maple Farm will have Maple Syrup, Cream, Butter, Sugar and Candy.
•H&R Block will be handing out free water and juice for the kids.
•Plus many more…

And all your favorite vendors will be there too selling jewelry, clothing, caps, fresh flowers and vegetables.
