Merrill Ace Hardware raises funds for Marshfield Children’s Hospital

This Friday, Aug. 3, from 11 a.m.-1 p.m., Merrill Ace Hardware will be “grilling their ACE off” for Children’s Miracle Network. The Traegers and the Webers will be grilling burgers to kick off the annual Children’s Miracle Network Bucket Sale. All proceeds of funds raised through the barbecue and sale of buckets will remain local, benefiting the Marshfield Children’s Hospital.

“At Merrill Ace Hardware, we’re committed to being that helpful place in Merrill, and part of that is our commitment to giving back to the community we serve,” said Tim Haight, owner of Merrill Ace. “We’re proud to help make miracles happen for children in need, while at the same time providing customers with fun opportunities and incentives for donation.”

In 2017, the Marshfield Children’s Hospital served 90 kids from Lincoln County who were hospitalized and 286 children who received specialty care. As a while in 2017, the hospital served 4,375 kids who were hospitalized and 16,200 who received specialty care.

“This really is heartwarming when we do this fundraiser, especially when we have the opportunity to work with two Merrill families that were actually chosen to be the poster child for Children’s Miracle Network,” Haight said. “These are our neighbors.”
