The “Raise the Flag Capital Campaign” for the establishment of a new Northwoods Veterans Post facility near the intersection of 6th and Johnson streets in Merrill was launched on Nov. 11, 2016. The effort’s goal is to raise an estimated $2.8 million for an all-new, 14,376-square-foot building for area veterans groups to call home. Rock 94.7 joined the campaign right away, hosting fundraisers including the “Brats for Vets” series of brat frys, the Veterans Appreciation Concert and now the “Warrior Wednesday Request-A-Thon.”
