Test drives raise $2,600 for St. John School

On April 19, Brickner’s Park City hosted a Chrysler Cars 4 Classrooms fundraiser for St. John Lutheran School students. During the event, 250 people took the opportunity to each earn a $10 contribution for St. John Lutheran students, by taking a brief test drive in the all-new Chrysler Pacifica and Pacifica Hybrid. Brickner’s Park City provided vehicles and staff for the event. In all, the test drives earned the school a $2,600 check from Chrysler.

Brickner’s Park City owner Jim Brickner noted that working with St. John Mothers Club makes the test drive events easy.

“They provide a tremendous amount of people for test drives,” he said. “We’re happy to do anything we can do to bring $2,600 into the community with just a little bit of effort.”

Not all Chrysler dealers get to host Cars 4 Classrooms events, but partnering with great organizations allows Brickner’s Park City to host two a year – one for St. John and one for Merrill High School. Over the past 25 years, Jim Brickner estimated that the program has brought at least $50,000 into the Merrill and Tomahawk communities.

The St. John Cars 4 Classrooms event was so successful that they are now entered into a drawing for additional funding from Chrysler.

Meredith Heldt of the St. John Mothers Club said the funds raised through the Cars 4 Classrooms event will help pay for extras such as new playground equipment and field trips for students.

In 2017, the Chrysler brand celebrated 25 years of commitment to its local schools and families. Since 1993, the brand helped to raise over $7 million through fundraising test drives. For more information, visit www.cars4classrooms.com.
