Next ‘Words Worth Hearing’ features skating coach, author

Laurie Johnson-Krueger is a name many in the figure skating community of North Central Wisconsin are familiar with. As a skater, choreographer and coach for a number of years in Mosinee, Merrill and at the Greenheck Ice Arena, she gained quite a following as a mentor. Many know her story of becoming a competitive pairs skater but did you know she is now an author? Just Enough Light to Follow is an inspirational book of how her faith was strengthened as she first learned and then taught jumps, spins, dances and footwork. Find out where the tenacity and inner strength is derived from.

Lewis C. Johnson, father of Laurie Johnson-Krueger, painted her portrait expressly for the front cover of Just Enough Light to Follow. It was a work of the heart as at 80 years old he’s had a long art career from Minnesota.

T.B. Scott Free Library is pleased to host Laurier Johnson-Krueger, as she currently resides in Devils Lake, North Dakota. Coach and now author Johnson-Krueger will relay the inspiration and process of writing the book on Sunday afternoon, May 20, beginning at 1 p.m. You’ll marvel at the rest of the story, as the saying goes. Books will be for sale and autographed, if you prefer after the presentation of how Just Enough Light to Follow came to be.
